Description
The 3rd London East Asia Film Festival introduces different Stories of Women through a strand including titles from seven countries, this year including one from North Korea. Comrade Kim Goes Flying will be screened and the co-directors, Nocholas Bonner and Anja Daelemans will be in attendance for a talk following the screening. It will be a chance to hear about North Korea and filming there.

Synopsis:
Comrade Kim Yong Mi is a coal miner in North Korea. She dreams of becoming a trapeze artist, but that dream is crushed by a famous trapeze artist, Pak Jong Phil, who claims that coal miners should stay below the ground instead of above it.
