Concert with Jack & Leon Hogsden

Jack & Leon Hogsden are a son and father duo with a strong traditional base of English music. A combination of many years immersed in Sussex songs and Morris Dance has evolved a respect for tradition with contemporary energy and rhythm. They present songs of the rural life of our predecessors, their work, relationships, and their conflicts, interspersed with compelling tunes that are played for dancing.

Melodeon, guitar, and mandolin are used with intricacy to produce an interacting sound that can range from suitably sensitive to dynamically driven. Jack and Leon have played at clubs and festivals around the country and are stalwart band members of the revered Ditchling Morris
