Glasgow Friends of Israel invite you to its second annual conference on Sunday 25 September at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The theme of the conference will be 'Balfour and Beyond'.
GFI is a non denominational group established over a year ago to promote a better understanding about the State of Israel through the advancement of educational, cultural and social activities in Glasgow, Scotland and the UK.
This year's conference will focus on the centenary of the Balfour Declaration and will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 6 Days War in 2017. The day will consist of a number of speakers, workshops and a Q+A session to provide everyone with information about the history of Israel and explore the opportunities for peace between the Israeli and Palestinian people.
PLEASE NOTE:- there will be a Christian service of worship at 09.30 conducted by the Rev. R. David Currie for those who wish to attend.
Registration and coffee from 10.00.
As the conference will be subsidised, ticket prices are set at £14.50 and £12.00 for senior concessions. This will include refreshments on arrival and a soup and sandwich lunch. There will be strict security at this event which may include body and bag searches. Entry will be by ticket only and we have the right to refuse admission.
Parking is available both at the Buchanan Galleries and the Concert Square car parks. Buchanan Street underground station is close by.
