The Business of Independent Occupational Therapy

Designed by and for independent occupational therapists!
The business side of our members’ work is as crucial as providing an excellent service to help people gain or re-gain their independence following illness or disability. And so our business-focused programme aims to inform, inspire and motivate you in your practice and business; and to provide an opportunity to update your CPD, learn from other occupational therapists running successful businesses and to find out what business support is available to you.

We are delighted that the keynote speaker is Suzanne Rastrick, NHS England's Chief Allied Health Professions Officer. She is a qualified occupational therapist and holds the highest position for Allied Health Professions in NHS England; an excellent speaker; and will update delegates on the direction of health and social care and how it may affect us all.

At the end of the conference delegates will have:

  • had the opportunity to reflect on the current national trends and challenges that lie ahead
  • joined in cafe conversations and shared the experiences of colleages in the independent sector
  • learnt about what business support our partners can provide
  • discovered how colleagues have coped with and overcome challenges
  • made contact with members of the National Executive Committee and their Regional Contact
  • made contact with colleagues and developed their support network
  • been motivated and inspired to embrace challenges and achieve the best outcomes for them and their clients

DAY ONE + TWO
Exhibition & Networking
Share best practice, discuss challenges, network and build relationships with professionals in your field. There will be an exhibition area with companies and organisations focused on you and your clients; view and learn about new equipment and services.
