The BIG Family Event - Being Well, Doing Well

This FREE event is for families who wants to connect and learn more about their relationships and wellbeing.

Who should come to this event?

This event and its activities are aimed at families with at least 1 young person aged 10+. Younger members of the family are more than welcome to join in too. Family can mean different things to different people so whether you’re a parent, carer, grandparent, uncle, foster carer, adoptive parent, cousin, or sibling we’d love to see you there.

Who we are, what we do and why we do it

Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution offers a range of free digital resources, training and events to support young people, families and those who work with them to positively manage family conflict to improve relationships and improve lives. In 2023-24, over 5,400* young people aged 16–24 presented as homeless in Scotland due to relationship breakdown. That's the equivalent to FIFTEEN young people EVERY DAY.

What will happen during the day?

Families can expect a warm welcome and an opportunity to take part in a range of fun and interesting sessions and activities. There will also be a chance to connect with other organisations and families through our workshops and marketplace which we hope will leave you feeling positive, uplifted and supported. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day is provided.

Marketplace

Throughout the day you’ll have the opportunity to meet a number of organisations and agencies to chat and find out more about the work they do with families.

Workshops and Activities

• Workshops will run in the morning and afternoon for all to attend. There will also be different activities and areas to explore and drop into such as; Quiet/Chill Space, Games/Play Zone, and Creative Corner.
