This holistic masterclass for teens is aimed at young people who might often feel fearful or anxious about talking in public, doing presentations in front of others at school or public speaking in general.
Sessions will take place Saturday afternoons (2pm-530pm) over a three week period from March 11th-25th 2017.
Each session is designed to:
Improve your child's sense of self in the world
Equip them with skills that can build resilience in the face of everyday challenges;
Give them practical experience of engaging with others in a way that is confident and articulate;
Help them move outside of their "comfort zone" and embrace new challenges that may offer them opportunities to build their CV;
Encourage them to be mindful of the way in which they present themselves to others online.
Please note, there is no clinical dimension to this masterclass. It is rooted in the world of aspirational mentoring and the sociology of identity.
I have no expertise or professional training in mental health or in special educational needs.
This course is recommended for young people aged 14 - 17 years of age. There will be no more than 12 young people in any session.
All young people must attend all three sessions in a row, to benefit in full.
