Each year, YMCA's Archive Group organises a Day School to promote YMCA's extensive archive stored at the University of Birmingham's prestigious Cadbury Research Library. The Day School focuses on a piece of work undertaken by YMCA in the past. This year's event will focus on the areas of conflict, refugees and migrants.
It will focus on the work of Reverend Arnold Dauncey who worked in Salonica, in Greece; Batoum, in Georgia; and Constantinople, in Istanbul, from 1918 to 1920; the service provided by World YMCA across the globe post-1960; the work of YMCA Ireland though conflict and beyond; and the work YMCA is undertaking today in England.
Tickets include lunch and refreshments.
