About this Event

To mark Black History Month, the University of Bradford's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team in collaboration with Directorate of External Affairs and the Race Equality Staff Forum invite you to a Fishbowl Conversation.

The session will offer a rare opportunity for professionals in sport and academics to have a frank conversation about their experiences, what has inspired them, challenges they have faced and what continues to motivate them.

Through a conversational format, issues of equality and inclusion in sports will be explored from perspectives that have been shaped through histories and different lenses.

The panel will consist of:

  • Professor Uduak Archibong, Professor of Diversity, University of Bradford.
  • Vivienne Aiyela, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant and Non-Executive Director of Football at The London Football Association.
  • Taj Butt, Community Activist and Cricket Management .
  • Professor Kevin Hylton, Professor Emeritus in Equality and Diversity in Sport, Leisure and Education, Leeds Beckett University.
  • Iffy Onuora, University of Bradford Alumnus, Scottish former professional footballer, manager and coach of the England national under-21 football team
  • Renoy Parkinson, President of the African Caribbean Society and member of the University of Bradford football team
