Event description
Value versus Affordability: How to position your brand in a cash strapped NHS: The first in a series of masterclass workshops

About this Event

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Our masterclass has now been rescheduled for the 1st July in light of new Government advice. We will honour all ticket sales and refunds will be issued to those unable to make the revised date. Stay safe and thank you for your understanding.

Value versus Affordability: How to position your brand in a cash strapped NHS

These workshops are aimed at brand managers, market access managers, sales managers, and in-field teams working for pharmaceutical, devices, diagnostics, and health tech companies. This first workshop will help participants:

a. Understand the National Tariff Payment System and how to ensure appropriate reimbursement for your medicines and procedures.

b. Utilise various publicly available datasets (i.e. HES, ONS, commissioning for value packs, Public and Mental Health Dashboard etc.) as evidence to help decision-making, measuring progress and performance within the health and care system in order to improve patient outcomes.

c. Medicines Value Programme – how to optimise the use of medicines/technologies and demonstrate their value.

We are proud to announce our masterclass series is supported exclusively by the Eastern Academic Health Science Network.

The Eastern Academic Health Science Network is one of 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) set up to spread innovation at pace and scale across the healthcare system – in order to achieve the ultimate goals of both improving health and generating economic growth.

As the only bodies that connect NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, AHSNs are catalysts that create the right conditions to facilitate change across whole health and social care economies, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients. This means they are uniquely placed to identify and spread health innovation; driving the adoption and spread of innovative ideas and technologies across large populations.

This masterclass will tailor the examples and learning to the specific therapy areas of the attendees.
