Event description
Join us for this Connect Harwell: Virtual Tour of Rosalind Franklin Institute on Tue 30 Mar from 14:00-15:00 via Zoom

About this Event

During this collaborative session, Laura Holland, Director of Communications and Culture and Dr Roisin NicAmhlaoibh, Head of Partnerships from the Rosalind Franklin Institute will take us on a virtual tour of the brand new building and facilities at Franklin's Harwell Campus whilst sharing details of key projects and news.

The Rosalind Franklin Institute is a new national institute, funded by the UK government through UK Research and Innovation, dedicated to bringing about transformative changes in life science through interdisciplinary research and technology development.

The heart of the Rosalind Franklin Institute will be the new hub building located at Harwell. The world leading technology hosted at the hub is matched by the innovative design of the building itself – unique in its experimental capabilities. When open, the hub will house all core and support staff for the Institute, plus 150 researchers from industry and academia.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, offer your thoughts or reach out to your campus colleagues via the chat feature, so, pop the kettle on, slice a piece of your favourite home bake and join us for a fascinating session!

Usually hosted by different campus organisations, Connect Harwell’s bi-monthly events are open to all campus organisations and sectors, providing a central forum to network with colleagues from the 200+ companies and facilities spread across the site, our March event is virtual to adhere to current social distancing restrictions.

Whether you can join us or not, please invite colleagues to sign up and also feel free to invite any contacts you may have from other campus-located organisations that you work with.

We look forward to welcoming you and/or your colleagues to the Connect Harwell online event.

The event is brought to you by Harwell Campus and STFC in partnership.

The session may be recorded.
