What are Connect Communities
Connect communities are vibrant, worshipping communities that are created when those from the Church work with those from the edge to create a mutual space, expressing the characteristics and personalities of the people who attend. Connect Communities provide a consistent gathering place in the city where a mix of people from a background of offending / drugs / homelessness, their family and friends can meet together with those from a church background on a weekly basis.
Connect is primarily a relational movement and supportive relationships emerge from this community that overflow into people’s daily lives. The weekly Connect gathering will fast become the hub of community life, although plenty goes on beyond it too. Connect communities are marked by growth through existing relational networks of those who attend.
