‘Connect Over A Cuppa’ helps SMEs based in North Yorkshire share new ideas, solve problems, and connect with like-minded businesses.

Organised by North Yorkshire Council, and supported by SME Growth Managers, the free monthly 90 minute online sessions are already sparking new ideas, highlighting opportunities for funding support and identifying new business opportunities.
With a key theme every month and guest experts, ranging from Marketing and Sales, through to Managing Team Performance, Strategy, Improving IT, Legal and Finance, we cover the business issues that matter most.
At every session, delegates also have the chance to meet our Harrogate based Growth Manager, Beata Olah, to discuss any funding or learning support.

‘Connect Over a Cuppa’ is free to attend for SMEs based in North Yorkshire.
Simply register your place using Eventbrite. Confirmation details of the session will then be sent via email.
Once the session is over you’ll have the opportunity to contact any of the support specialists to follow up for more in-depth advice and help.

Unfortunately no, Connect Over A Cuppa is aimed at SMEs based in North Yorkshire.
We don't really describe Connect as a networking event. People are really friendly, and take the time to chat with each other. Plus the visiting speakers and monthly topics make it easy for anyone to feel at home, without any networking pressure.
Every month we have a different theme, based upon feedback from attendees. We've covered all kinds of topics so far, from Finance and CSR, through to Innovation and Leadership Mindset. Every topic sparks lots of questions, and we get a lot of repeat companies attending.
The answer is all kinds ! We get early stage SMEs, just starting out, through to established multi-million turnover SMEs. We've got everyone from Manufacturing, through to Legal, Finance, Sports, Leadership, Construction to name just a few.
Co-Lab is at Entrance 3, just on the side of Harrogate Exhibition Centre. There's always someone on reception during working hours to welcome you, and there are plenty of paid or disc parking nearby. Plus, it's only a short walk from the train station and Harrogate centre.
It's really easy to visit us at Co-lab in Harrogate. There's easy access from the Main Street at Entrance 3, with someone on reception to assist you. There's also a lift direct to the 3rd floor, plus accessible toilets.
