Connect the Buds: “What Is My Story?”
Overview
This group session is designed for 18-25 year olds.
Feeling unsure about employability?
If you’ve ever thought:
- How do I answer the “tell me a bit about you” interview question without waffling?
- “I haven’t got much experience — what do I even say?”
- “I wish I could sound more confident in interviews.”
You are not alone. Most people – young and older - struggle with this — and it’s one of the biggest barriers to getting hired.
This workshop will change that
In this interactive one-hour session, you’ll:
- Learn a simple 3-sentence structure (Past – Present – Future) to tell your story.
- Discover how to use your experiences, inspirations and skills to sound credible and authentic.
- Practise in a safe space so you feel more confident and prepared.
- Leave with a ready-to-use story for your next interview, job application or networking event.
What you’ll gain
- Clarity – know how to explain your path and ambitions.
- Confidence – stop freezing on the “tell me about yourself” question.
- Credibility – show employers you understand your strengths and value.
- Connection – make a stronger impression when meeting new people.
Why it matters
Employers want more than grades. They want people who can show self-awareness, motivation and potential. Telling your story well is one of the fastest ways to stand out, even if you’re just starting out.
Please answer the pre-workshop questionnaire when signing up. This will help Cecilia to understand your interests and goals better.
