Description

Centrepoint is hosting Connect: The National Youth Homeless Conference to share ideas with organisations working with vulnerable young people.

At the conference, local and national organisations working in the sector will discuss the key issues facing homeless young people.

Participants will work together to tackle issues discussed in a range of themed workshops such as The Manchester Charter and a combined authority approach. Other sessions will focus on the policy landscape in 2018, routes into training and employment, fundraising, safeguarding and promoting good mental health. There will also be table discussions to generate big ideas to end youth homelessness and a panel session consisting of civil servants, providers, and local authorities supported housing.”

Morning refreshments will be served from 9.45am.

There will be a hot fork buffet lunch. Teas, coffees, juices and snacks will be provided throughout the day

The venue

The conference will be held at Hotel Football which overlooks Manchester United's Old Trafford ground. It is owned by Phil and Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes who first came up with the idea of starting a hospitality company after travelling the world during their footballing careers.
