Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (C-CAV) 2 Stakeholder Workshop - London
Event Information
Description
As previewed by Innovate UK in its 2016/2017 Delivery Plan, a second Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (C-CAV) competition is scheduled for later this year.
The Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) – a joint policy unit of the Department for Transport, and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) – is working with Innovate UK to develop the scope of this competition, that is being funded from the BIS £100 million intelligent mobility fund. To help ensure this competition takes full account of the requirements of UK industry, the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) will be running three stakeholder workshops, timed to canvass a broad range of expert views.
As well as providing an opportunity for influencing and fine-tuning of the competition, these workshops could well prove of value for attendees as an early chance to begin potential consortia building.
Each workshop will be of similar format (details to be published nearer the time) so don’t worry if you can’t attend one, you’re more than welcome to attend another date.
Diverse industry sectors welcome to register their interest
CCAV welcomes input from attendees from diverse industry sectors that could touch upon vehicle autonomy. This could include (not a full list): OEMs, design, digital, gaming, creative industries, navigation, communications (mobile, V2V, V2I), industrial mathematics, ICT, semi-conductor design, materials, Internet of Things (IoT), image processing, sensors (cameras, Lidar etc ), computer vision, optics, electronics, bad weather operations, environmental and sustainability, and perhaps more...
Other relevant areas of expertise from whom views are welcome include: user behaviour & acceptance, HMI, System Integrators, cyber security, mobility as a service, new business models, standards and insurance. Industry views relevant to all types of vehicles, such as for cars, buses, freight, and coaches, are also most welcome to express their interest in attending.
