Pilita Clark - FT Associate Editor and Columnist
Pilita Clark is an associate editor and columnist at the Financial Times where she writes on corporate life and climate change.
Formerly the FT’s environment correspondent, her writing has won awards in the US and Asia and in 2019 she was named Environment Journalist of the Year for the third year in a row at the British Press Awards.
Margaret Heffernan - entrepreneur, CEO, author and keynote speaker
Dr. Margaret Heffernan produced programmes for the BBC for 13 years. She then moved to the US where she spearheaded multimedia productions for Intuit, The Learning Company and Standard&Poors. She was Chief Executive of InfoMation Corporation, ZineZone Corporation and then iCast Corporation, was named one of the “Top 25” by Streaming Media magazine and one of the “Top 100 Media Executives” by The Hollywood Reporter. She is a Professor of Practice at the University of Bath, Lead Faculty for the Forward Institute’s Responsible Leadership Programme and, through Merryck & Co., mentors CEOs and senior executives of major global organizations. She chairs the boards of DACS and FilmBath and is a Trustee of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution.
The author of six books, Margaret’s third book, Willful Blindness : Why We Ignore the Obvious at our Peril was named one of the most important business books of the decade by the Financial Times.
Emma Pinchbeck - CEO of Energy UK
Emma Pinchbeck is the Chief Executive of Energy UK, a position that she has held since July 2020. She is an expert in whole-economy decarbonisation and the energy transition. She also holds several board advisory positions. Emma had her first baby in October 2019 and shares childcare with her husband. She is passionate about efforts to improve diversity in the energy industry. From 2016-2020, she served as Deputy CEO of the trade body Renewable UK, in which role she also sat on the Board of Scottish Renewables. Prior to this, Emma was Head of Climate Change at WWFU-K. She has an MA from the University of Oxford.
Kees Vendrik - Chief Economist Triodos Bank
Kees was appointed in the new role of chief economist at Triodos Bank NV in 2017. Previously, he was vice-president of the Court of Audit of the Netherlands and has also held responsibilities such as the presidency of the Institute of Fundraising and the Foundation for Democracy and the Media, also in Holland. He has participated in politics, as a member of parliament and a spokesman for economy and finance at the Dutch Green Left Group.
Amy Clarke – Co-Founder and CIO of Tribe Impact Capital
Amy is Co-Founder and Chief Impact Officer at Tribe Impact Capital, where she leads on the definition and execution of impact across the business. Amy is an environmental scientist by training with over 28 years' experience in corporate sustainability and impact investing. Before Co-Founding Tribe, Amy headed up sustainability teams at both Bank of America and Microsoft, as well as the Private Client team at Charities Aid Foundation. Amy sits on the Boards of Big Issue Invest and B Lab UK, the Development Council of the Future Fit Benchmark and Global Steering Committee of the Global Ethical Finance Initiative. She is also an advisor to the Ocean Plastics Leadership Network and Greenheart Consulting.
