A Wikithon designed to show how events like this can benefit cultural heritage organisations.

About this event

Participants in the Connected Heritage webinars, and anyone interested in participating in future Connected Heritage activities, are invited to a one-off Wikithon. Participants will learn Wikipedia basics and make their first edits. In addition, this event will allow you to see how a Wikithon is run, how it could work for your organisation and how you can best support the growth of open knowledge.

Ideally, participants will bring an idea of a topic or theme they would like to work on. We will support you by showing you how to set up a Wikipedia account and make edits, as well as create new articles and upload images. If you do not have a specific topic or artefact in mind, we are happy to provide you with one.

We will send supporting information and resources prior to the webinar.
