Connected Places: revitalising our urban centres
Date and time
Our urban centres are challenged, they are an integral party of every city. How do we revitalise them? Come and join the debate!
About this event
The population in most major British and Danish cities will continue to grow in the years to come. How will we accommodate this growth? Where will these people live? And in what way can we use this growth to revitalise our urban centres as well as making sure the centre is connected with the wider city? This seminar explores how investments in infrastructure can help deliver more housing, regeneration and economic growth - and connect places and people. Moreover, it looks at what is needed in terms of masterplans, design, public realm and community involvement to make this a success.
This event is part of the Liveable City conference, which is jointly organised by the Royal Danish Embassy and Design Manchester with the support of Manchester City Council, Manchester Society of Architects, Manchester School of Architecture and the Design Council.
