What are your riding ambitions?

Do you want …

  • Fun riding painlessly?
  • A happy horse who is easily able to carry you and function comfortably?
  • A healthy horse and to save the cost of fixing your horse?
  • To compete at high level?
  • To be able to perform the way your riding instructor asks?
  • To enjoy your relationship with your horse competing, hunting or hacking?

Peggy Cummings of Connected Riding® will teach you the tools you need to realize your goals. Learn about Connected Riding® from the founder. Engage in Peggy’s boundless enthusiasm and passion for good horsemanship and discovering the best in horse and rider. Learn easy techniques to achieve your riding ambitions.

The clinic will cover:

RIDER AWARENESS: Riders practice exercises to release holding patterns in their bodies and to find neutral pelvis. When the rider is in neutral, the horse can free himself and move more effectively.

GROUNDWORK: Bringing awareness of holding patterns to your horse. You will learn how to help your horse release tension and learn to collect from the ground through a combination of stationary and moving bodywork.

WORK UNDER SADDLE or the “dance,” putting it all together for fluidity of movement together with your horse.

QUESTIONS? Auditors and Riders, please contact Katherine

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Public Transport is intermittent so ideally travel by car. Parking is available near the covered arena at the venue (and will be clearly marked).

Food / Snacks

Either bring your own food or you may buy meals on-site. Book meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in advance - Katherine will email details to participants in October.

Meals will be prepared by James Swift, artisan food producer and director of Trealy Farm Charcuterie, using fresh, seasonal and high quality produce, much of which is home-grown and home-raised. Trealy Farm and neighbouring Square Farm are organic and grow a range of vegetables and fruit as well as raising rare breed meat including pasture fed beef and lamb. James likes to work with whatever is best at the time. The menu in October is likely to include casseroles, lasagne, shepherd’s pie, squash and ginger soup, carrot and tomato soup, fruit crumbles, plum fool, cheeses and a range of vegetable dishes. Breakfast will consist of eggs, bacon, bread, honey, yogurt, seeds, nuts and fruit. All coffee, tea and other non-local ingredients will be Fair Trade. Special diets can be catered for.

The indoor arena at Trealy Farm is a recently-constructed, state-of-the-art venue with viewing gallery. The Pavilion, a separate building, will be used for meetings and dining. Safe stabling and quality turn-out is available for all participating horses. The owners of Trealy Farm provide a superb facility to support and enhance the learning experience. It is also a beautiful environment for quiet contemplation.

Trealy Farm offers some accommodation and there are local B&Bs. Details will be emailed to participants.

There are a few of Peggy's books for sale at the clinic - cash only. If you seek additional materials, speak to Katherine who maybe able to arrange to get them from the USA over the next few months.
