QUESTIONS? Contact Katherine with any questions or look at FAQ below.
May I speak to Peggy?
All participants will get a chance to interact with Peggy, whether you are an auditor or rider (this is why the clinic has limited numbers). Bring your questions to ask Peggy her advice ... there will be plenty of opportunities to consult Peggy.
What is the format of the clinic?
Peggy is creative and sensitive in the way that she works with her riders during a clinic. There is no fixed schedule. Riders and horses work individually and in groups with Peggy who determines the optimum format and number of sessions for each combination to enhance their learning experience. Peggy works on exercises with each combination which they perfect while she moves to work with another combination and then returns to fine-tune the work. Peggy also focuses on the organisation of the rider, whether on the ground or in the saddle, and how to find 'neutral pelvis'. The type of work done depends on the needs of each rider and horse and how they transform during the work and how much they can absorb. Everything is designed so that participants can process new material and learn effectively. During this clinic, Peggy will be assisted by her UK Certified Connected Riding® Instructor, Mette Tranter, who will support each rider in understanding and embodying Connected Riding® principles.
What is the point of the demo?
Peggy will outline the principal themes of her work, encourage the audience to experience the way that their own posture affects that of their horse and illustrate how her work benefits the performance and wellbeing of both horse and rider. You will have the chance to ask Peggy about her methods, understand how they vary from traditional methods and how you will be able to achieve your goals more easily using her approach. The demo provides a summary of Connected Riding®. It is a good starting point for newcomers to this work and a helpful reminder for the old-hands.
