Join Rosy and Celyn from Star in the Apple Stories for a gentle, joyful musical journey - where we weave interactive music-making with storytelling and craft to co-create a sensory celebration of everyone's uniqueness and magic!

🎵 Enjoy Music-Making and explore different instruments - with our specialist musical resources for inclusion, including sensory percussion and rainbow-stringed Harp - everyone can play!

🎨 Get Creative and bring the magic home - we'll provide materials and guidance for you to make a beautiful sensory musical instrument of your very own to play and take away.

📖 Storytelling and Sing-a-long Songs - collaborate with professional performers, sharing stories to explore our feelings and songs to uplift our spirits.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fun for the Whole Family - siblings, parents and family are all very welcome, and together we'll create an atmosphere that's fizzling with fun, yet sensitive enough for all to access the activities. 

🪄 Experienced Facilitators - we have been offering interactive music sessions in SEND schools, Care Homes and Hospitals for over 15 years and have loved working with a wide range of children, parents, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. We hope that every participant feels included and inspired by the Magic of Music!

Frequently asked questions

How long does the session last?

One hour. The session runs from 2:30 to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute transition period before and after to allow for a relaxed arrival and departure.

Is this event only for Autistic children?

Our events are designed to support the needs of neurodiverse families of all abilities. If you feel your family would benefit from this type of environment, you are welcome—no questions asked. While we aim to create a safe and inclusive space, we don’t require evidence of diagnosis for attendance.

Can siblings attend?

Yes, our events are for the whole family.

Is there parking outside the venue?

Yes, there is ample free parking available outside the pavilion, as well as a large parking area adjacent to the Castle Street playground.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible, and are there accessible toilet facilities?

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. There is a sloped entrance for easy access, and accessible toilet facilities are available.

Are there hand dryers?

There are hand dryers in the toilets, but we ensure these are turned off and provide paper hand towels.

Venue facilities

The room is bright with bunting, artwork, low ceilings, and carpet, making it quieter. There's a sofa area with playdough and games. A communal kitchen and first aid room are nearby. Outside, there’s a children’s playground and a multi-use games area next to the pavilion.
