Event description

Description

This Spring - Glasgow Community Food Network brings you an opportunity for people and organisations running community cafes to connect, celebrate and share.

A Community Cafe might be anything from a weekly pop-up meal to a thriving social enterprise. If you feed people, this is for you.

Speakers will include:
Emma Soanes - Spoon Cafes
Speaking about social enterprise cafes working together for everyone's benefit.

Irina Romero - Woodlands Community Garden
Talks about her successes and challenges through Woodlands community meals.

Jacqueline McDowell - Community Food and Health (Scotland)
Reveals findings of a year long self-evaluation study looking at community cafes in Scotland.

Angela Ireland - MILK cafe in Govanhill
Telling us the MILK story and the social impact of their activities in the local area.

We'll have group discussions around issues relevant to you, including volunteer support and development, supply chains and enterprise.

Delicious lunch provided by Soul Food Sisters
