Connecting Global Migration Struggles
Overview
Connecting Global Migration Struggles
How are different migration struggles connected across the globe? How can activists and scholars support migrants against hostile immigration systems? What emerging solidarities and shared knowledges can we build in times of crisis, fascist revival, and declining humanitarian commitments?
Join us alongside activists and researchers from AlarmPhone, MORE (Migrants Organising for Rights and Empowerment), Maryhill Integration Network, and the University of Glasgow for this panel discussion followed by a film screening. The event is totally free, in-person, and open to all.
This event is one of many organised on this day by the Migration Scholars Solidarity and Resistance Network around the world. The network is a collective response to urgent times where peoples’ rights are under increased threat, and research is being politicised and students deported. The network is made up of scholars, teachers, students, and activists committed to defending academic freedom, speaking the truth about migration, and standing in active solidarity with migrants and refugees everywhere.
Simultaneous, global teach-ins/teach-outs will be held on 11 November 2025.
This event is co-organised by GRAMNet and UCU Glasgow.
