Connecting HR London Spring Tweet-Up
Event Information
Description
We're back! Hot on the heels of the massive success of the Manchester tweet-up, we are back in London with our best social hats on!
If you've not come across or been to a tweet-up before, it's simply a face-to-face meet-up for HR people using or interested in social media (including Twitter). We may put up a Twitter wall if we get round to it, but the event isn't really about tweeting, it's about chatting and connecting, plus a bit of drinking, with like-minded and sociable people working in and around HR (ncluding Engagement, Employee Relations, Recruitment, L&D, OD, Reward and Internal Communications etc etc).
If you've not come across ConnectingHR, we're a community of these sociable HR people. As well as the tweet-ups, we run fabulous unconferences and may do some additional things in 2013. And we're online at www.connectingHR.org, through you'll generally find more chat over at Twitter using the hashtag #connectinghr.
And if you've not come across ConnectingHR's tweet-ups then you've been missing out. They're great evenings, usually involving 50 to 100 people representing a breadth of organisations including Betfair, Pizza Express, Sega, BSkyB, Lexis PR, Leonard Cheshire, BT, CGI, Symantec, Talis, Thomson Reuters, Financial Times, Revlon, G4S plc, Mayborn Group, Informa, CM Murray, Burger King, Experian Plc, Aviva, The Telegraph, Yell Adworks, Betfair, BAE Systems, Chevron, easyJet, Ipsos MORI, HMV group and London Overground (to name but a few!).
The event is designed as an informal networking and sharing opportunity. We sometimes include a few short 'open mic' sessions and announcements during the evening to give the attendees a chance to ask questions and share their experiences. This time around we will be sketching out a few ideas of what you can expect at the forthcoming Unconference to be held in June.
To get more of a flavour for the event, take a look at a few of many reviews, for example these from Mike Morrison, Donald H Taylor, TheHRD, HRZone and Sukh Pabial on their respective blogs.
But you won't really understand what it's like till you come and join us. So give us a go - come along to the Square Pig on Wednesday 8th May and say hello - within five minutes you'll feel like you've known us for years!
Tickets are priced at £10.00 and include a free bar for part of the evening.
