Now in its tenth year, the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) annual Recovery Conference has become an important date in the Hertfordshire health education calendar.
Following last year's focus on Wellbeing through Learning, the theme of 2016 will build on this by focusing on:
Connecting People: Parity of Esteem & Wellbeing
The 2016 conference will take place at Hertfordshire Development Centre in Stevenage; the event welcomes all those interested in discussing how we improve the ways we help people connect to improve their overall wellbeing including through connections with communities, tackling of stigma and understanding the interplay between mental health and physical health. We are particularly keen to encourage attendance from people with lived experiences; whether that be from direct use of services or as a carer as well as a diverse range of professionals.

HPFT is committed to providing excellent health and social care for people with mental ill health, physical ill health and those with learning disabilities. We do this by providing services which make a positive difference to the lives of patients, service users and carers, underpinned by the principles of choice, independence and equality.

In the context of the this year's conference the key partners involved in planning include Herts Mind Network, Mind in Mid Herts, Viewpoint, Carers in Hertfordshire, University of Hertfordshire as well as a range of people with lived experiences.
