Fintechs and other fast growing inclusive businesses are creating exciting new investment opportunities in the rapidly changing digital economy. Who are these new investors? Where are they investing? What are the risks of serving lower-income and less experienced customers?
Goodwell Investments in partnership with IFC, CDC and DEG is hosting an invitation-only one-day conference that brings together investors with sector leaders, tech entrepreneurs and industry experts to exchange innovative ideas and share best practice solutions to the issues facing digital financial services today.
The conference will be a milestone, with a group of Inaugural Signatories launching globally applicable Guidelines for Investing in Responsible Digital Financial Inclusion. This initiative of Goodwell Investments and IFC was developed in collaboration with a group of 30+ leading investment organizations in digital financial services, including CDC and DEG as a core members of the working group. The Guidelines aim to benefit customers, Digital Financial Service providers and investors in managing risks associated with inclusive digital finance. The speaker list includes fintech pioneers, leading investors and industry experts. They will share insights into how sectors are converging, business models are shifting, which new entrants and incumbents are collaborating and where leading investors are finding exciting new investment opportunities.
To ensure an interactive discussion, in the afternoon participants will choose between two parallel break-out sessions: an introductory session for investors interested in learning more about investment opportunities, and a deep-dive for those interested in joining as signatories to the Guidelines.
