Connecting to Nature in the everyday

By Durham Wildlife Trust

Overview

Explore ways to connect to nature using stories of our own connection and mindfulness and meditation as tools.

Join our Nextdoor Nature Officer to explore ways we connect to nature. Our Nextdoor Nature Officer has over 25 years of meditation experience and is also Buddhist Chaplain at the University of Sunderland.

This will be an opportunity to both explore our own stories of connection to nature as framework for being part of nature’s recovery and meaningful action in our own neighbourhood.

Mindfulness and meditation practices will also be used on the day as tool to being in the present wherever you are. You do not need to have previous meditation experience and mats and cushions and chairs are available.

Attendees under 18 must be supervised by an adult.

The onsite café sells a range of cakes, scones and sandwiches.
