Course Description:

Join us for a full-day of intensive training where you'll learn how to write attention-grabbing headlines, compelling press releases, and establish meaningful connections with journalists and media organisations.

  • Recognise the importance of headlines in capturing the interest of journalists and readers alike, and gain techniques for writing compelling headlines both with and without the use of AI.

Course Structure:
Throughout the day, you'll participate in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and collaborative discussions. We'll dive deep into the intricacies of PR writing, providing you with actionable insights and real-world examples. By the end of the training, you'll have created your own PR campaigns ready to be published on your channels or shared with media outlets.

Trainers:

  • Graham Hill: With over 40 years of experience in journalism, Graham Hill brings a wealth of expertise to the training. Having worked as a staff reporter at the Sunday Mercury and the Birmingham Evening Mail, as well as freelancing for national newspapers.
  • Anna Brees: An ex-BBC journalist, Anna Brees runs a successful media training company. With her extensive background in journalism and media training, Anna will be co-facilitating the workshop alongside Graham. Together, they'll support attendees with their campaigns and stories, providing personalised guidance and expert advice.
