Arts and Wellbeing conversations
Join our resident artist, Pragya Kumar, for a relaxed and inspiring daytime at Firepit as we explore the connection between art and wellbeing.
Pragya believes that art is a powerful tool for communication, one that helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and with those around us. She approaches art-making as a meditative and reflective process, free from judgment or the need for perfection.
This free-flowing workshop invites you to slow down, tune in, and create in your own way. The session will include:
· A gentle grounding exercise to centre the mind
· Hands-on exploration of visual art techniques using a variety of materials
· A closing reflection to share insights and experiences
This month, as the seasons shift and the days grow shorter, we’ll turn to art as a way of bringing light into our lives. Together, we’ll explore how creativity can support us through times of change and help us keep moving forward.
In this session, we’ll celebrate hope by crafting a mini desk lamp using simple materials like paper. All the usual art-making tools will also be available, so you can either join in with the guided activity or create your own piece of art.
Whatever you choose, we warmly invite you to enjoy an hour and a half of gentle, relaxing you-time in a welcoming space.
All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own colouring tools, special papers, or any personal materials you'd like to use.
The workshop is free, and as spaces are limited, we kindly ask that you only book a spot if you’re certain you can attend. This helps us ensure that the Arts Wellbeing Workshop reaches those who truly need it.
The sessions are free but we welcome any donation towards materials which will enable us to sustain the workshops.
The workshop is open for anyone 18years and above
No prior experience in arts needed. People from all artistic backgrounds are welcome.
Please arrive 10 mins before the session for a prompt start at 6pm.
