Join Connections at the Edinburgh International Science Festival for “Sex by Numbers: the statistics of sexual behaviour”
The latest Natsal survey of British sexual behaviour suggests that we are becoming more experimental in our sex lives, but there is less of it going on. But given sex (mainly) goes on behind closed doors, collecting reliable statistics of sexual behaviour presents a considerable challenge. David Spiegelhalter, Professor of the Public Understanding of Risk at Cambridge University will show how to obtain and use the best possible data to find out more about our sex lives, based on his forthcoming book, Sex by Numbers, which accompanies the major Wellcome Collection exhibition The Institute of Sexology.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other professionals and entrepreneurs in a relaxed setting, soak up some of the fantastic science festival atmosphere and see something a little different.
Connections invites you to this event at Summerhall, Summerhall Place, Edinburgh, EH9 1QH on 16 April 2015. Connections is a networking group set up by professionals for professionals and entrepreneurs living and working in Scotland and is supported by the Law Society of Scotland and the ACCA.
Show begins at 8pm in the Dissection Room. Connections will meet from 7.30pm in the Royal Dick Bar before heading into the show. There will be a wine and networking reception for Connections attendees in the Royal Dick Bar (Summerhall) afterwards.
Please note that by signing up you accept that your name and email address will be shared with the Science Festival as organisers of the event.
