Introductory course into connective parenting using the principles of non violent resistance (NVR). 2 Sessions.
About this event
1st Session 25th January 2022, 2nd Session 2nd February.
This connective parenting course is delivered by AUK trainers who are also adoptive parents. It is aimed at adoptive parents and is structured around the principles of Non Violent Resistance to enable parents to parent their child/ren through the development of strong connective relationships and to mange difficult behaviours including child to parent violence. The course is practical in nature, taking attendees through the key elements of the NVR map (not sit-ins or announcements) and providing suggested strategies for parents/carers to implement in the home.
This course is also appropriate for prospective adopters and foster or kinship carers
