About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Join the Ranger Service to take part in some practical conservation tasks throughout the county. For this session we will be based at Black Moss, in the south-west of Armadale. We will be doing some tree after-care or 'beating-up' in forestry terms. This involves checking the condition on the saplings that have been planted by volunteers in spring 2024, replacing any damaged tree tubes and stakes, and re-planting as necessary any saplings that have failed.

All tools and a full tool safety talk will be provided by the Ranger. During this session we will be on exposed, uneven and wet ground. Please wear appopriate clothing (waterproof and windproof clothing, wellies or sturdy waterproof boots), and bring along a drink and maybe a small snack to keep you going.

This session will run for two hours from 10:30, and the meeting place is at Armadale Bowling Club which is off of South Street, ArmadaleW
