Our experienced panel will share insights, tips, and resources to help you navigate the application process successfully.

• An overview of Cambridge’s research environment and how it fits within the UK higher education sector
• Insight into the benefits and realities of being a postdoc at Cambridge, including support, opportunities for becoming affiliated to a College, and career development , including support structures, supervision, and community
• Tips on interpreting UK academic job adverts and preparing an effective application
• Clarification on what Cambridge can (and can’t) offer in terms of support, affiliation, and career development
• Signposts to further information on visas, relocation, and staff benefits
• Responses to common questions from prospective applicants – with space to submit your own in advance.

Who it’s for: This session is ideal for researchers anywhere in the world who are considering a postdoc at Cambridge but don’t yet know if it’s the right fit — or if they’re the right fit for it.
