A training session on considering equality and diversity and unconscious bias in REF 2021.

About this Event

This session is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary for decision-making in relation to REF2021. Training will be delivered by Ellen Pugh, Senior Adviser, Advance HE.

Objectives:

1. Understand the legislative and policy drivers and context for embedding consideration of equality in REF 2021.

2. Understand the potential for bias around identifying staff and selecting outputs in REF 2021

3. Begin to develop individual actions and strategies to minimise the potential for bias in REF decision making.
