Event description

Description

This is the induction training for new constituency campaigners and we welcome you to Oxfam's Constituency Campaigner Programme. We will give you the information and skills you need to become an effective parliamentary campaigner, preparing you to influence decision makers and make your voice heard within the UK political system. We will present our latest campaign on refugees and family reunion and we'll look at other issues which affect those living in poverty. You will hear from some of Oxfam's policy experts and our Head of Advocacy. This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet other constituency campaigners and understand how you will campaign as a movement to bring about positive change to those living in poverty.

Please arrive at 10:00am for a 10:30am start. Lunch will be provided and please email us in advance if you have any dietary requirements. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with Oxfam's policy and please keep these to a minimum by using public transport, booking in advance if possible and using a railcard if you have one. If you wish to claim please bring your travel receipts with you. If you require more information please contact Zainab on 0161 234 2794/07917592455 or email ccp@oxfam.org.uk.

We look forward to meeting you on the day and hope you find the training useful and most of all, enjoy yourselves!
