Event description

Description

For our June Members Forum the Offsite Manufacturing & Technology Group will be inviting the wider Constructing Excellence membership to provide their input and views on some of the exceptional challenges and opportunities that sit behind the effective implementation of manufacturing principles in the construction sector.

This lively and interactive session will enable participants to provide input into the key areas that are impacting and driving better implementation. Experts will chair specific tables in the form of mini workshops to identify ways in which we can solve specific challenges in the sector. Participants will have the opportunity to explore 4 of the topics in detail.

We will be covering the following topics:

  • Linked data, trusting content, golden thread - headed up by Alex Small, Tata Steel
  • Construction platforms / generative design tools - headed up by Richard Crosby, Blacc
  • Maximising potential for innovation: What needs to change? How will this impact contracts and IP? - headed up by Phil Henry, Polypipe & Julie Barry, RIFT
  • Tier 1 contractors: What needs to change? How do we leverage their knowledge and experience? Andrew Gamblen & Maxine Beadle, Willmott Dixon
  • What do clients need to do? How can the industry help/educate clients?
