What happens when we investigate an event we know nothing about, armed only with fragments, facts, contradictions, and noise?
Constructing Truths is an experimental workshop led by Dario Bombelli that invites participants to explore how knowledge is formed, distorted, and reconstructed, exposing truth to its fragility and multiplicity. Through a hands-on investigative kit—made of documents, audio recordings, technical data, and conflicting narratives—participants will be asked to reconstruct their own version of a case-history event.
This exercise is not about finding the truth, but instead questioning how truths are made. The case study is the Moby Prince disaster, but the intent is to reflect more generally on the power of images and words in the construction of collective memory. Inspired by investigative aesthetics and forensic methods, the workshop blends storytelling, critical thinking, and collaborative speculation.
No prior knowledge or expertise is required—just curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to rethink what counts as evidence.
