Event Overview: Construction Skills Forum
Co-hosted by Nikki Davis, CEO & Principal, Leeds College of Building
This forum brings together stakeholders from across the construction, education, and skills sectors to discuss current developments and future priorities for construction skills at local, regional, and national levels.
The event will include:
- An update on recent construction skills announcements, including policy, funding, and workforce development initiatives
- Insights from the newly established Construction Mission Boards, developed in partnership with Skills England, highlighting sector feedback and early recommendations
- A focus on the implications for employers, training providers, and wider sector partners
- Opportunities for discussion and collaboration around addressing skills shortages and aligning training with industry needs
The Construction Skills Forum aims to support a joined-up approach to tackling the construction skills gap and shaping a resilient, future-ready workforce.
