Event Details

English Heritage have recently published new versions of "Constructive Conservation" and "Heritage Works". This course is aimed at increasing the knowledge base of local authority staff, Developers, Architects, and Surveyors, around these topics, which work together as inspirational and technical respectively. It aims to help delegates understand their historic environment and through that understanding, to manage change to it in the most appropriate way, through a positive, well-informed and collaborative approach to conservation. Delegates will come away with a greater understanding of how to identify opportunities to use heritage assets in regeneration schemes, how to prepare proposals and what they should contain, an understanding of the wider planning policy and funding context and how to develop a clear vision of successful end use.
