Event Details

Learn about the trends that are governing people’s buying decisions at our forthcoming event with Mintel.

It's now more than four years since Lehman Brothers collapsed. That collapse marked the start of a global financial crisis that is still raging today. But Mintel's long-running research into consumers' financial health and spending intentions shows that although most people have felt the impact of the slowdown, the majority of consumers are still managing to make ends meet.

Please join us to see Mintel’s Research Director, Toby Clark, present an overview of how the recession is affecting people's finances, what they are spending their money on, and the broader consumer trends that are governing people's buying decisions. He will argue that the shift in behaviour offers a once in a generation chance to reach new consumers, and to change the shopping habits of existing customers.

Cogent's Senior Planner, Lee Jackson, will then discuss ideas for how we can reach customers and change their behaviour.
