About this event

Playful, creative and a brilliant way to explore movement.

Contact Improvisation can improve your physicality, increase your confidence, build your stength and stamina and just feel amazing!

Saturday 30 August:

Facilitated by Billy Maxwell-Taylor!

Billy is an interdisciplinary theatremaker, founder of Eira Dance Theatre and ambient dance choreographer creating moments of stillness in the busyness.

His work has toured across the UK, supported by organisations such as NDC Wales, VAULT Festival, Richard Chappell Dance and Span Arts.

As a facilitator, Billy has supported Marie-Gabrielle Rotie in her Butoh workshops and leads inclusive movement sessions across the UK.

He is now based between Pembrokeshire and the Forest of Dean after completing his Masters in Expanded Dance Practice at The Place.

Saturday 27 September:

Facilitated by Rebecca MacMillan!

Rebecca is a comedy improviser, trainer, and creative consultant who performs with groups like Impromptu Shakespeare, The Maydays, and Closer Each Day.

She teaches regularly in Stroud and Bristol, and at festivals and retreats across the UK, with a focus on connected play, genre work, and helping individuals find their unique strengths.

She brings a warm, playful approach to all her sessions, drawing on years of experience in performance, coaching, and corporate training.

Whether you’re new to improv or looking to explore it more deeply, Rebecca creates a supportive space for curiosity, connection, and creative discovery. She’s especially interested in improvisation as a tool for embodiment, communication, and collective joy.

Booking is highly recommended as space is limited.
