Event description
Unveiling the mystique of contemporary art - three key concepts bringing a fresh group of contemporary artists into the galleries.

About this event

Contemporary art is exciting, ever changing, and news making, but often baffling and snobby. Why did the craft of textiles fall out of favour, and rebound into our galleries this past decade? How has the topic of climate change and environmentalism impacted artists’ latest works? And when did dynamic and busy pieces begin to share popularity with the contrasting style of minimalism?

In this online series of lectures, Dr Marie-Anne Mancio looks at three key concepts bringing a fresh group of contemporary artists into the galleries.
