--- This ticket is for Contemporary Ballet class 29th July---

Blending the structure of ballet and the freedom of contemporary dance, this stress-free class builds up strength, balance and grace to some catchy eclectic tunes. Expect well-explained exercises, flowing choreography - and a great workout!

We start with a series of (barre-less) barre exercises in the centre to build core strength, progressing to movements that travel across the space, jumps and a longer phrase. We focus on finding fluidity and enjoyment in movement rather than the perfect turnout.

Come and experience the joy of dance in this energising class!

Adults (18+) of any level welcome, from seasoned practitioners to beginners with basic (not necessarily recent) experience of movement such as yoga or dance. This is a stress-free, no-judgement class!

What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Socks (or ballet slippers).

Classes are at The Dance Space in Brighton (2 Market St, Circus St, BN2 9AS).

Pre-booking only. Spaces in the class can be booked up until the class start time.

In the interest of your safety, please check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise regime and ensure you exercise according to your capabilities and fitness levels.

About the teacher: Initially trained in France, Florence has performed professionally in both classical ballet and contemporary dance. She has a particular interest in techniques that use gravity and breath to achieve dynamic movement that feels natural and brings joy. She believes that dance is the perfect form of exercise: challenging body and mind in so many ways (strength, balance, stamina, flexibility, coordination, memorisation) while having so much fun you wouldn't notice!
