Several years were spent working as a fashion jewellery buyer for various online retailers before she obtained her Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America in Mumbai, India. Before returning to London, Katherine spent time working for Amrapali in Jaipur, the gemstone and jewellery capital of the world. In 2017 Katherine went to Kabul, Afghanistan, working for Turquoise Mountain, a Prince’s Trust supported charity aimed at supporting and developing traditional arts and crafts. 2018 took her to South East Asia; visiting artisinal mines in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Next stop - Ethiopia; working for an NGO and the Ministry of Mines to find ways of improving their gemstone industry and jewellery production capabilities. Back in London, her portfolio of brands includes cutting edge designers as well as heritage brands such as Pragnell’s and Noor Fares. Her knowledge across the supply chain allows her to advise smaller brands on how to improve design and production in order to achieve increased profitability and efficiency.
