This free 1.5-hour webinar is for professionals working in Thurrock and will cover contraception, STIs (including testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, and HIV), the C-Card scheme, and how to support access to local sexual health services.

About the Webinar
In support of World Contraception Day (September 26th), we’re delivering a targeted sexual health training session for professionals working in Thurrock.
This session will focus on:
- Understanding common contraceptive methods, including condoms, the pill, the injection, the implant, the IUD/IUS, and emergency contraception
- Raising awareness of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, and HIV, and how to access local testing
- Promoting access to sexual health services in Thurrock, including key referral pathways and resources
- Introducing and explaining the C-Card scheme
This interactive session is designed to equip Thurrock-based professionals with the knowledge and confidence to support others in making informed choices around sexual health and accessing services safely and confidentially.

This training session will be an online event via Zoom. Attendees will receive a Zoom link 48hours before the training session. If your organisation does not enable the use of Zoom, personal devices can also be used. Due to the topics we will be discussing, participants may want to use headphones.
