Event description

Description

A new Church Mission Society event with the latest thinking and practice on pioneering mission and fresh expressions of church, in partnership with The St Cedds Centre in Collier Row. Join keynote speakers Jonny Baker, pioneer course director, as he reflects on 'Mission is...done from the inside?' and Mark Berry co-author of 'A New Monastic Handbook' and a new Grove book on how mission flows out of community. There will also be a choice of workshops including Revd Janet Nicholls, Rural Adviser and Agricultural Chaplain, Diocese of Chelmsford, David and Janie Beales of DNA Networks, sharing their experience of missional clusters, Ordained Pioneer Minister Dan Pierce with the intriguely titled 'Mission is...messed up: why it doesn't work and why it's not supposed to', as well as St Cedds student, Rachel Summers, on how she uses social media to build community.
