We’re delighted to present the second concert in the Conversations in Jazz series, hosted in the beautiful St John’s Church, Watford — just an 8-minute walk from Watford Junction Station.
Internationally acclaimed Italian pianist and singer-songwriter Ilario Ferrari joins forces with celebrated Cuban violin virtuoso Omar Puente for a unique and uplifting duo performance.
“Mediterranean Meets Cuba” explores the deep connections between two longtime friends and their cultural roots. From the rhythms of Cuba to the shores of Southern Italy, they’ll take you on a journey of discovery — blending Afro-Cuban jazz traditions with the soul of the Mediterranean.
Expect a programme of new original compositions alongside beloved Latin jazz classics, all delivered with musical brilliance, humour, rich storytelling, and soulful vocals.
