We’re delighted to present the third concert in the Conversations in Jazz series, hosted in the beautiful St John’s Church, Watford — just an 8-minute walk from Watford Junction Station.
Italian pianist and singer-songwriter Ilario Ferrari joins forces with trumpeter and composer Henry Spencer and singer and actress Mara Ashton for a special double-bill concert.
Human Nature is the theme of this third chapter — an exploration of the profound connections that bind us as human beings and link us to the world around us.
Both Mara and Henry collaborated with Ilario on his latest album Above The Clouds, yet this event marks the first time they all share the stage together — and the first ever duo performance between Ilario and Henry, embodying the spontaneous, explorative and conversational spirit at the heart of Conversations in Jazz.
Expect a rich and varied programme featuring brand-new original compositions, imaginative re-workings of jazz classics, and timeless songs from the pop tradition — all delivered with soulful vocals (Expect some duet!), masterful playing, lyrical improvisation and heartfelt storytelling.
