The aim of the session is for architects, surveyors, builders and developers to have an increased knowledge of what is required from a warranty perspective on refurbishments or conversions.
It will also provide an understanding that the requirements of the Warranty Standards often exceed those required from Building Control. The session will also discuss CRL’s Risk Management Guide for Conversions. For example, in the case of a conversions the requirement of the life expectancy of the structural elements should be 30 years.
The presentation will cover:
· Background to CRL
· Refurbishments and conversions
· Types of inspection reports required
· What should be surveyed
1:00 – 1:30 pm: Networking and light lunch
For the first half an hour, delegates will be able to have a light lunch provided by CRL and network with other attendees.
1:30 – 2:30 pm: Course material
From 1:30 delegates will be seated and the course material will begin.
2:30 – 3:00 pm: Coffee, networking and questions
From 2:30 pm onwards delegates will be invited to network over coffee and ask our speaker any informal questions.
