Event description

Description

Join us for our second annual Convivium Festival, expanded this year to include two days of activities for people of all ages. These include:

  • Carolina barbecue with all the Carolina fixins and made from locally sourced food
  • Live music by FiddleBop and Sarah Birch that'll give us a medley of Gypsy Jazz and Folk music
  • Kids' activities in the Heritage Centre
  • Public talks by Dr Matthew Jones and Phil Cope. Matthew will talk about his experience as a medic in South Sudan and Phil about his photgraphy book on the holy wells of Wales
  • A Twmpath either in the Cathedral Close or (if it's raining) inside the Cathedral. Don't know what a Twmpath is? Think ceilidh but with traditional Welsh music
  • Hands-on sessions on foraging led by Adele Nozedar, an acclaimed author and teacher about the art of foraging
  • Pilgrimage Walk from the Cathedral to the ancient church of Llanddew
  • and more...

As with last year, the festival is in support of our local environment, heritage, and communities. Convivium seeks to raise awareness about ways of living together that enable both communities, the environment, and their heritage to flourish.
